Where the inks meet. Used sparingly, by hand.
The mark
Clear space
Keep at least one disc-width of paper on every side. The mark needs room to breathe.
Minimum size
Never smaller than 24px tall. Below that the overprint stops reading as two inks.
Mono
One ink, one colour. For stamps, engraving, and single-colour print.
Reverse
Paper on ink or green. For dark grounds only.
Do not
- Recolour the discs.
- Stretch, rotate, or skew the mark.
- Add a drop shadow or outline.
- Separate the discs at rest.
